"Like clear water over white sand. The Irving in blue topaz takes the same teardrop talisman pendant and wraps it in pale, luminous blue topaz beads that catch light like the surface of a calm sea. Cool, clean, and quietly breathtaking. Each necklace is handmade by master artisans in Jaipur, India — the blue topaz beads strung by hand, the raw diamond teardrop pendant set stone by stone in 18K gold vermeil. The diamonds are authentic and upcycled, the blue topaz chosen for its natural clarity and soft color. No two necklaces are exactly alike. Wear it alone against bare skin or layer it with the Irving in other colorways for a full tonal story. In 18K gold vermeil over sterling silver, it's a piece that carries the lightness of a perfect day."

What Sets Us Apart

  • Made to be worn solo or paired with your other favorites - the choice is always yours.
  • Each necklace is handmade with care and intention, shaped by a process that connects maker and wearer.
  • Gold vermeil and oxidized silver offer the richness of fine jewelry with the ease of everyday luxury.

What is Vermeil?

Vermeil is a luxurious alternative to solid gold—perfect for those looking to elevate their jewelry game without the four-figure investment.

  • 18K Gold Layer: A 3-micron layer of solid 18K gold for lasting radiance
  • Sterling Silver Base: Never brass—only high-quality, hypoallergenic sterling silver beneath
  • Fine Jewelry Feel: Heirloom-worthy quality and weight
  • Ethically Sourced: Always made with love and intention
  • Lasts Longer Than Gold-Plated: Vermeil offers superior durability and richness

It’s jewelry that looks—and lasts—like fine gold, at a fraction of the price.

Jewelry Care

Each Shana Gulati piece is crafted with care—and we hope you’ll treat it with the same love. To preserve its beauty:

  • Keep your jewelry dry and away from moisture when not in use.
  • Gently polish with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to maintain its natural shine.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning pads.
  • For lasting wear, we recommend storing it safely and refraining from bending, dropping, or striking it against hard surfaces.

These designs are delicate by nature—handle them with intention, and they’ll stay with you for years to come.

I didn't know where I was going. I just knew I had to go.

I was just shy of eight when my family moved from India to Jackson Heights, New York. The acceptable paths were Medicine, Engineering, or Law. I chose Law — out of genuine respect for what my parents had sacrificed. But it was never my true path, and somewhere underneath all of it, I always knew that.

In 2012, I stepped away, moved back to India, and gave myself over to figuring out what came next. No design education. No knowledge of jewelry or manufacturing. Just a feeling, a stubbornness, and the belief that sometimes not knowing is exactly where you need to start.
