Kaha — the Māori word for strength — and this pendant carries that meaning in every detail. An oval cluster of sliced raw uncut diamonds set into thick, textured 18K gold vermeil, finished with pavé champagne diamonds and hung from a fine gold chain. Bold where it counts, delicate where it matters. The Kaha Pendant is the piece that bridges the Mazbooth collection's raw power with everyday wearability. Each pendant is handmade by master artisans in Jaipur, India — the gold worked and textured by hand, the diamonds set one by one into a surface that cannot be replicated by machine. The stones are authentic and upcycled, raw and full of natural character. No two pendants are exactly alike. In Māori culture, kaha speaks to an inner strength — the kind that doesn't need to announce itself. This pendant wears the same way. Substantial enough to feel, refined enough to wear every day. Layer it with fine chains or let it stand alone. In 18K gold vermeil over sterling silver, the Kaha is strength you can hold in your hand.

What Sets Us Apart

What is Vermeil?

Vermeil is a luxurious alternative to solid gold—perfect for those looking to elevate their jewelry game without the four-figure investment.

  • 18K Gold Layer: A 3-micron layer of solid 18K gold for lasting radiance
  • Sterling Silver Base: Never brass—only high-quality, hypoallergenic sterling silver beneath
  • Fine Jewelry Feel: Heirloom-worthy quality and weight
  • Ethically Sourced: Always made with love and intention
  • Lasts Longer Than Gold-Plated: Vermeil offers superior durability and richness

It’s jewelry that looks—and lasts—like fine gold, at a fraction of the price.

Jewelry Care

Each Shana Gulati piece is crafted with care—and we hope you’ll treat it with the same love. To preserve its beauty:

  • Keep your jewelry dry and away from moisture when not in use.
  • Gently polish with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to maintain its natural shine.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning pads.
  • For lasting wear, we recommend storing it safely and refraining from bending, dropping, or striking it against hard surfaces.

These designs are delicate by nature—handle them with intention, and they’ll stay with you for years to come.

I didn't know where I was going. I just knew I had to go.

I was just shy of eight when my family moved from India to Jackson Heights, New York. The acceptable paths were Medicine, Engineering, or Law. I chose Law — out of genuine respect for what my parents had sacrificed. But it was never my true path, and somewhere underneath all of it, I always knew that.

In 2012, I stepped away, moved back to India, and gave myself over to figuring out what came next. No design education. No knowledge of jewelry or manufacturing. Just a feeling, a stubbornness, and the belief that sometimes not knowing is exactly where you need to start.
