Named for the dramatic cliffs and deep blue waters of Scilla on the Calabrian coast, this necklace has that same quality — vivid, bold, and impossible to look away from. Deep malachite beads in rich emerald green, strung together and anchored by a gold vermeil marquise eye pendant set with sliced raw diamonds in white resin, finished with pavé champagne diamonds. The green and gold combination is pure Italian summer. Each necklace is handmade by master artisans in Jaipur, India — the malachite beads strung by hand, the marquise eye pendant set stone by stone. The diamonds are authentic and upcycled, the malachite chosen for its deep natural color and distinctive veining. No two necklaces are exactly alike. The Scilla is the color piece of the FW26 collection — the one that makes the whole outfit. Wear it with white, black, or camel and let the malachite do the work. In 18K gold vermeil over sterling silver, it's a piece that carries the energy of the Italian coast wherever you take it.

What Sets Us Apart

What is Vermeil?

Vermeil is a luxurious alternative to solid gold—perfect for those looking to elevate their jewelry game without the four-figure investment.

  • 18K Gold Layer: A 3-micron layer of solid 18K gold for lasting radiance
  • Sterling Silver Base: Never brass—only high-quality, hypoallergenic sterling silver beneath
  • Fine Jewelry Feel: Heirloom-worthy quality and weight
  • Ethically Sourced: Always made with love and intention
  • Lasts Longer Than Gold-Plated: Vermeil offers superior durability and richness

It’s jewelry that looks—and lasts—like fine gold, at a fraction of the price.

Jewelry Care

Each Shana Gulati piece is crafted with care—and we hope you’ll treat it with the same love. To preserve its beauty:

  • Keep your jewelry dry and away from moisture when not in use.
  • Gently polish with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to maintain its natural shine.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning pads.
  • For lasting wear, we recommend storing it safely and refraining from bending, dropping, or striking it against hard surfaces.

These designs are delicate by nature—handle them with intention, and they’ll stay with you for years to come.

I didn't know where I was going. I just knew I had to go.

I was just shy of eight when my family moved from India to Jackson Heights, New York. The acceptable paths were Medicine, Engineering, or Law. I chose Law — out of genuine respect for what my parents had sacrificed. But it was never my true path, and somewhere underneath all of it, I always knew that.

In 2012, I stepped away, moved back to India, and gave myself over to figuring out what came next. No design education. No knowledge of jewelry or manufacturing. Just a feeling, a stubbornness, and the belief that sometimes not knowing is exactly where you need to start.
