The Designs

Drawing inspiration from nature, architecture, Indian culture, and New York’s stimulating fashion scene, each piece tells a story of its own. Our collections feature glistening mosaics of raw diamonds, semi-precious stones, and unpredictable shapes, angles, and lines. The Kaarigars
The beating heart of Shana Gulati Jewelry is in the hands of our skilled artisans, or kaarigars. These master craftsmen offer generations of expertise, quality, and attention to detail. Working in collaboration with Shana, our kaarigars use traditional techniques like hand engraving, filigree, and stone setting to transform raw materials into works of art. They bring Shana’s designs to life and ensure each piece is made to last.
The Mission
We believe in creating jewelry that respects both people and the planet. We source ethically mined gemstones and recycled metals to reduce waste through mindful production processes. We use upcycled diamonds, breathing new life into an already beautiful element and preventing the impacts of mining. This includes prioritizing fair trade practices by taking time to make sure our artisans are fairly compensated and enjoy being in their workplace. Each purchase supports Commit 2 Change, a project that helps girls around the world stay in school, breaking the cycles of gender discrimination and poverty.
The Collections
Each collection is influenced by some aspect of Shana’s life and intentionally designed with a central inspiration. The Kaiya collection is named after Shana’s niece, a lover of magic and a source of great joy in Shana’s life. The sought-after Kolar collection depicts the celestial, inspired by poetry and all things astronomical. In the most recent Jeevan collection, each piece is named the word for “life” in a different language. It celebrates the beauty that is imperfection and expected.
